Hi Boys,

I don't know if everyone got the Email. But last week Don's dad (A.K.A. Papa Coons) had a heart attack. It happened while he was in the hospital in ER. Sister Coons said, "They found a blockage at the back of his heart in one of the branches leading off. They were able to open it and placed a stint to keep it open. His heart has had no damage and he will recover well." Oh, and Beans also fractured his tibia in a rugby game last week, so he is on the mend as well.

So I believe everything is O.K. But if you get a chance to write them an email and let them know you are thinking about them and praying for them it would mean a lot.

their email is: coonieclan@sbcglobal.net

Scoutmaster

Boys,
On presidents day my fam went snomobiling. My first time and quiet possibly one of the funnest things i have ever done. I wanted to post some pics so you could all see how my fam is doing. Especially note the one of my pops, that picture only makes me wonder what he and neff were up to on campouts wherever we went, including the urban campout in downtown SF. And of course he tried to start a fire up there. Cool? hmm.
We went up in the High Uintas up south of Evanston WYO. There is a picture of kimmy trying to be a lumber jack with the sled, DUH! IS MY ONLY RESPONSE.

Hi Boys,

Just a quick reminder about our plans for next meeting.

We all agreed to bring several of our life goals to share with the rest of the group. So that we can all know each others plans and find ways to help.

We were also going to brainstorm ideas for our Yearly Outing this year. (It would be good if we could possibly do something before we go home for summer, even if it's just a weekend.)

We also all planned to get in contact with someone from our past
that we haven't heard from in a while.

And lastly, we were going to brainstorm ideas for a group mission statement.

I think the Blog idea has been working really well,
and I hope we will all keep it up.
I love this thing.

As a reminder, PJ is going to be in charge of the March meeting,
so we will see what he cooks up for us.

As always thanks for being the best friends anyone could ask for.
You boys are the greatest.

SRP speaks

Hey kids just wanted to make a post from a ghost who likes toast the mostest, eating snacks from hostess...sounds like a rap PJ would sing in the bathroom...haha. But i just wanted to express my love for everyone and for the strength that there is in such a group of young dedicated men. I hope we can all inspire one another to be the best that we can be and to reach our maximum potential.

This last week I realized that my life was taking control of my life. WHY? Because I let myself make excuses for the lack of discipline. After talking to my dad and with my wonderful roommate, I realized that I can act, and stop being acted upon as it says in 2 Nephi 2. It is a great concept. We are the masters of our own destiny and if we let the Lord guide us and give us strength, we can accomplish our goals and dreams.

A famous person once said, "The pleasure of the lack of discipline is not worth the failure to reach our greatest potential". Let us take control of our lives and if we feel that life or life's circumstances are acting upon us, let's recognize it and make the change. We are the only ones that stop ourselves from reaching excellence...

AIM!

Fellas! This has been an awesome week to have this blog going. Seriously, I have never been so informed about what everyone is doing, and how things are going. Not to mention the awesome laughs I have gotten. Who talked to stilson? There was no name.
I showed my dad the blog, he read every single one, and then he asked me what some of the memories were, like "Nick what is rubber cement on 17 Canary Court and Who is SILVIA? What is My files at baskin robbins." I was busting up laughing in each of the stories I told him. Here are a few other memowies that I remember too, maybe we could make a running account of them.

- Unplugging the huge blow up slide in MAf's backyard.
- Seeing matt peterson get patted down for drugs at osage park.
-Me and Don pushing the Taurus back to the petersons with my broken collar bone.
-The awesome go cart at don's house
- Riding bart to senior ball
- Each and every new years in SF.
- "I love modest WOmen"
- PJ's drug pass offs with his briefcase in the quad, hahahaha, still funny.
-Hunting for the little boys around campus.
- Remember throwing me up in the air in the A hall
- TPing the petersons when they were gone. Cheap shot but man we got them good. I think I saw some TP in the top of the pine tree at matt p.'s wedding.
-Driving no hands down Sycamore valley road all the way from maf's to pj's. Still a world record i think.
-Being pulled over in don's car for drunk driving and each of us pulling out our eagle scout cards.
-Tossing the monitors off the parking structure by the san ramon skate park.
-Building oh so many dirt jumps on the iron horse trail. "Rain in Octember"
- The Aquabats show at slims when Dan Got a back stage wristband. WoW!
- Mud football with stilson.
- Making big bawls of paper in assemblies and throwing them at the people in front of us.
-Being green guys, in the assembly.
- (PJ can I say being band aids together in freshman band while we were our senior year) Chief loved us and you know it.
-Rememer Don trying to see how long he could go without putting his hands out while falling on his face.

Son, those are just a few. But wow, what good times.

nBR

Hey everyone,

I heard from Stilson today. He is doing great!

I was so glad to hear that he is doing well. He was by far one of the Best leaders and friends we had in Danville. He told me to say hi to everyone.

A Two Seater

So today I was in the RC at work and I was listening to a missionary's call. He was talking to a way old man from the South, and I don't know how, but they got on the topic of outhouses. The man was going on and on about how everyone thought it was crazy when people started going to the bathroom inside their house. Everyone thought it was so disgusting and vulgar. He also talked about the rich family that had a two seater outhouse. He was really jealous.

That call was pretty much my highlight of working at the MTC.

Hi guys,
I really like this. hahaha fake laughing. (Being negative all the time and a little sarcastic, sorry Spence.) This is Dan. Im sitting next to our favorite girl. RH or in other words Rachel Holt. She is teaching me how to work this thing. It is good to see Mike again. I remember building a quarter pipe mini ramp at his house and then breaking it with my bike. Im going to give shout outs.
PJ: Morning dating talk with grapefruit dish
Josh: i still feel bad for being heated sunday night. Im sorry and I love you. thanks for putting up with me and being my friend.
Spencer: I still have your letters from when I was in 9th grade.
Matt: Your having a baby. Maybe you should consider the name Daniel. Its a good one.
Maf: We didn't use horses on the mount whitney hike.
Brian: I still remember seeing you in el sistema en Tegus (it might be "la" who knows)
JD: I remember when we built possible the best creek jump with the best landing. Fun times and lots of stiches with Bro. Rosedall.
Nick: If I were to pick a good memory  it would be of you doing a huge bunny hop off the little bumbs at osage park.
Mike: I remember sleep overs at your house and calling 1800 4455667.
Jonny B: CUB Scouts is my fondest memory of you. I think that Nick's mom was one of our den mothers
I bet I missed some peps but I will include you next time. I love you all and am honored to be your friend. Thanks to my roommates who help me out, encourage me to be good, and excell in school. May the future be ours as the sky becomes the limit. . . or maybe in our case, there will be no limit.

Para bailar la bamba...

I am turning in my graphic design application this friday. If anybody would be kind enough to look over my portfolio before then and let me know what needs improvement, it would be greatly appreciated by me and possibly by my future family. Thank you and have a gay-reat week.

BTW: here is a picture i drew in high school... it pretty much describes my life at that time... most of you guys aren't in it, but i thought it was pretty cool anyways. ENJOY
Hello boys.
It is good to be official and part of the group again. Long live the boys of Danville and Nerds of all countries, Unite! We can take over the world! That is we can change the world. Peace out.

John A Broderick

my first time!

I think this is my first time on a blog!! But unlike PJ i feel more nerdy than popular... But i guess "Nerdy" is the new "Popular" of the 21st century.
So do we HAF to write different words in different fonts and sizes? Is it random or are there rules? What are the rules for posts anyways? I guess i'll get the feel for it.

I feel like a schoolgirl again.... so excited.

Im going to be an UNCLE!!!
(to M.P's baby not to Shmike's...yet)
thats my announcement.

Jd.

A heart to heart...

So a certain friend among the group has a theory about how if "he" listens to girl music, in turn girls will like him. I am not so sure how I feel about this theory, and in fact, i call this theory null, because of such reasons....
To my "friend:"
If your theory (not music theory pj, duh, even though that was the best 4 credit class ever) is valid, then you should also do other things that girls do. The list is as follows:
  1. Wear dresses
  2. Eat salad and not sweets
  3. wear high heels
  4. gossip
  5. stalk others on facebook.com
  6. ask if "does this skirt make my butt look big?"
  7. ask boys to sadie hawkins
  8. have slumber parties
  9. go to the bathroom in groups (i really dont understand this one)
  10. glue little jewels on their cell phones
  11. watch "Runaway Bride" or more recent "27 Dresses"
  12. thong
These are just a few reasons, why listening to girl music will not attract girls. I personally feel if you want to be like a girl, all the power to you, but not with the motive of getting girls to like you. Anyway i dont want to make this personally offensive and if you have any suggestions please comment on this blog. Which by the way is my new obsession.

With much lust,
Nick Ras

I've never been a blogger.

This is my first time ever writing on a blog and I feel really popular. I thought it would be cool to change the way I wrote popular so I could be like Nick.

I might change some other words like LUST or ones like Sir.

So tonight was a pretty big success. Thanks guys for all coming. I'm pumped for what's to come. I don't really have much to blog about right now, but I'll find something cool pretty soon. You guys are awesome and really are my brothers.

Peace outside,

PhilJr

SIR!! Band of Brothers

SIRS! Hey, this is definitely Matthew M. Peterson and I'm stoked, too, about this blog. What an awesome way to stay connected (good work, NBR). My first announcement is that Min and I are expecting our first baby on September the eleventh!! It's incredible to be married. It's even cooler to be expecting (though, for your wife, expecting definitely requires a lot of work I've come to find out : )... Here's a hoorah! for wonderful, virtuous, dedicated women!

As I contemplated our band of "sirs" our band of guys that are, truly, also my brothers, I became SO grateful for the inspiration of Maf and Peej to get our group back together- to begin making more GREAT MEMORIES this time with each of us offering even more wisdom, insight, and FUN (should we add a "MISSIONS" section?!) to throw in for the benefit of everyone else. I love you guys. I loved the following thought from tonight, along w/ thoughts on it: this band will reach its greatest heroism-echoing the story Maf shared tonight-POWER, and GREATNESS as we forget ourselves and get to work helping, serving, and working to build a family, friends, and everyone else we have contact with. THEN, our efforts will be of most worth WRITING about-then we'll find the "life" we're promised in Matthew 10: 39. Thanks Maf, Peej, and guys for being committed to do this! I was so happy after our meeting tonight as I walked to my car that I started running! I couldn't stop smiling. Hallelujah! I'm so grateful for a group of guys like you all who are so committed to the gospel, to loving and serving others, to "standing tall," to loving me, and most all, to loving and serving the Lord. The "Sirs" our band of brothers, I'm convinced, will be a blessing to us and many 1000 others. As we add new friends (and recal old ones (Matt Lancaster?!?), spouses, and KIDS(!!) to our lives, and maybe even to this close circle, our "band of brothers" as I like to call it, our FUN and JOY together will just keep on growing more and more. PLUS, we'll have a lot more worth blogging about! Mahal ko kayo (How they say, "I love you all," in Tagalog), Matthew M. P. P.S. I'm excited to keep posted with notes and pics from you all.

-Matt Peterson
